Melinda is a Realtor and Co-Owner of Home & Ranch Real Estate along with her husband Spencer Scott.  She grew up on a cow/calf ranch between Hearne and Franklin and learned to love the rural life.  Melinda started her real estate career working with Price Waterhouse’s real estate consulting group and then later joined Arthur Anderson.  She honed her skills turning around luxury resort properties and their associated golf courses.  She utilized her redevelopment experience for East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia which is Bobby Jones’ “home” course.  Eastlake now proudly hosts the PGA Championship, for which Melinda was an integral part.  Additionally, Melinda was a part of putting into place the 800 acre residential development and golf course known as Traditions in Bryan, Texas.

Melinda obtained her real estate license in 1991 and in 2005 gave up the corporate path to focus on starting Home & Ranch Real Estate where she quickly became a rural land specialist and expert.  Home & Ranch Real Estate specializes in rural real estate including farms, ranches and raw land to in-town lofts, strip retail commercial properties, office and industrial buildings, airplane hangars as well as multifamily and single family residences – all property types you typically find in smaller rural town areas.

Melinda’s home town is now Caldwell where she attends Burleson County Cowboy Church.  She is active in the community and her church.  Melinda is an avid Rodeo mom.  Additionally, she volunteers her time with the Caldwell Aggie Mom’s club, numerous agriculture related clubs and organizations including the 4H, Horse and Goat clubs.
